The Process:

Taking advantage of a tree that was down from a strong wind In 2014 I was able to cut out thick slabs and join two of them back together in a butterfly pattern with a piece of Imbuia in the center as a joining centerline piece.  I designed and fabricated the legs from ⅜” (9mm) steel plate that have the appearance of being folded. The steel has been painted with polyurethane exterior grade paint. The result is this outdoor dining table.
