Materials:

Black Walnut and I-Beam Steel.

Found or located Where:

This black walnut wood was imported from the United States of America where I had the opportunity to remove an unwanted tree from a property.  It was subsequently cut into slabs and dried and then later brought to Brazil with my tools and equipment when I moved here.

The Process:

Black walnut is an amazing wood to work with; it has medium hardness and develops a beautiful finish in the darker tones.  I left one end of this bench with a natural edge of the wood to display its character and carefully sculpted the profile of the I-beam Steel to insert as the final leg of the Piece.
